You may not recognize it immediately but sounds from a conventional speakers arrive at different times. The usual “box” of tweeters, midranges, and subwoofers have different distances to the listener, so each distinct sound falls on your ears at differing instances. Wilson Audio fixes this problem with their Maxx Series 3 speakers. They split the upper module and employed clever engineering to deliver focused sound to your ears all the time. The speakers also employ a system they call Aspherical Propagation Delay, or just a fancy way of saying that the sound you’ll be hearing isn’t hampered on its way to your eardrums in any way. At 410 lbs. each, you’d be sure that the system is as stable as can be, so you’ll just enjoy pure sound and not the rattle of the speaker’s case. $68,000.
